New York: National Caucus of Labor Committees, 1973. An 8 ½" x 11" flyer mimeographed in red on cream stock. Very light wear, but about Fine. No record for this flyer in WorldCat. A flyer issued in the midst of "Operation Mop-Up," the name given to a series of violent attacks by Lyndon LaRouche's National Caucus of Labor Committees against members of the Communist Party and Socialist Workers Party. The dispute began when the NCLC tried to take over the National Welfare Rights Association with its National Unemployed and Welfare Rights Organization. When the Communist Party, supported by the Socialist Workers Party, tried to prevent the takeover, NCLC were ordered by LaRouche to attack resulting in the hospitalization of numerous Communists and Socialists. This flyer advertises a forum held on May 9, [1973] and featuring Tony Chaitkin as speaker. A scarce surviving document.

New York: National Caucus of Labor Committees. Leaflet, 8.5x11 inches, mimeographed on one side only, all text, creased and worn else good condition. Leaflet by NCLC aimed at the Socialist Workers Party for defending Rasheed Story of the CPUSA's candidate for mayor of NYC in 1973 and threatening the SWP "But should you repeat, as goons for the CP, we will put all of you in the hospital; we will deal with you as we are dealing with the Communist Party" Writing this description your humble bibliographer remembers being at this very same meeting at Columbia University when this meeting took place as part of the SWP defense of the right of the CP to speak.
