Boston: D Lothrop Company, 1887. Worn copy of this collection of stories, verses and other activities, illustrated throughout with black and white engravings and half-tones. Illustrated boards with brown cloth spine, 407 pages. Cover illustration chipped nearest the spine, considerable edgewear and rubbing, short tear to lower section of rear joint, binding shaken with the first few leaves detached, major tear to one leaf near the middle of the book (all pieces present), pages generally clean with some fingerprinting to a few pages, light dampstain to outer margin throughout about half of the book (does not affect printed area), gift notation in pencil on front free endpaper, no other markings.. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
