The story of the artist Eileen Alice Soper, famous for her illustrations of the Famous Five books, and her work at her rural retreat, Wildings. 143pp illustrated throughout with drawings in colour and black and white by Eileen and her father, George Soper. Gilt lettering to spine. Mark to front board, spine slightly slanted and light foxing to top edges and some margins. otherwise good copy with no inscriptions. Unclipped DJ has some internal foxing, marking and creasing and small nicks to spine..
