Acceptable. 394 p., clean and unmarked except on front end page, which is detached from firm text block, and has on verso a frontis engraving with tattered tissue guard; front and back gutters cracked but volume is square.green embossed boards with title on tarnished gilt patch on spine have smudges , bumped corners, rubbing at edges and severe abrasion at crown of spine, with open tear along upper seam. Paper is mildly age-toned but not brittle so this rare volume is worth rebinding.
