Boston: The Cornhill Company, 1920 This RARE edition is in VERY GOOD ++ CONDITION. No jacket. 65pp bound in blue paper and cloth over boards with gilt lettering. This book of Poetry was inspired by travel in the Tropics, with a group of War Poems touching upon events in the World War. Covers show slight darkeing, gilt rubbed on spine, light foxing to back endpapers only, slight page mellowing. BINDING AND HINGES TIGHT. No labels, inscriptions or markings. The author traveled worldwide with her Father - Dr. Henry Rose Carter - who originated the modern quarantine system and laid the foundation of the work that was to rid the world of Yellow Fever. Laura Armistead Carter collaborated with her Father and Dr. Wade Hampton Frost in the book "Yellow Fever, an Epidemiological and Historical Study of It's Place and Origin", with funding by the Rockefeller Foundation.
