Waverly, IA: G & R Publishing. Very Good with no dust jacket. Hardcover. Plastic covered wire spiral binds the hardcovers. Binding is clean, sound and unworn. The pastedowns have minor foxing. Contents are almost as new, with no writing or other entries on the text. No DJ. ; 7" x 8-1/2", VI + 172pp + 2-page listing of Contributors + XIV pages of Index. A black plastic material covers the wire spiral which binds the HARDCOVERS. The covers are a light blue with black lettering, a white drawing of a biplane and two female figures in black, in a white circle. COOKBOOK. Publishing date is unknown, but this is the original hardcover issue, not a recent reprint. Each of the eight recipe sections is introduced by a page, printed on slightly heavier paper, each of the 8 pages displaying a different full-color photo, most of them of vintage airplanes, with the name, date, and a little bit of information about the airplane. The recipe sections are: Start your engines - appetizers & beverages; Up, Up and Away - soups & salads; Barnstorming in the A. M . - breads & breakfasts; Down the runway - Pasta plus; The race is on - vegetables & accompaniments; In-flight fuel for the soul - meats & poultry; Seaplane harvest - Fish & seafood; Three point landing - desserts. ... One page is devoted to a brief biography of Blanche Stuart Scott who had many aviation firsts in her career. .
