Original marbled end papers preserved and new endpapers added. Text pages bright and clean. Bound in full modern brown leather with red spine label and gilt title. An excellent copy of this treatment of early liturgies which includes an extensive historical and analytical Preface, parallel treatments, and Additional Notes and Appendices containing liturgies from the Sarum Use, the Liturgy of St. Clement, and the Communion from the 1549 BCP.
