[New York]: E.P. Dutton & Company, 1926. Large paper edition, limited to 200 numbered copies, of which this is 109, signed by the author and illustrator. Pp. [xiv], 158, black & white illustrations throughout. Bound in pink illustrated boards with a mauve cloth spinestrip, printed paper spine label, top and fore-edges trimmed, bottom edge rough-cut. Woodcut bookplate on Japanese paper of jumping salmon/trout (unsure of artist), captioned "Myles & Frances Standish their Book" to front pastedown, otherwise the book is in fine, almost new condition. Housed in the original pink dust jacket which duplicates the line illustrations on the boards. Very minor nicks to tips and spine ends with a couple of imperceptible closed tears, otherwise an outstanding copy, clean and bright, highly collectible.. Signed by Author & Illustrator. First American Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Near Fine. Illus. by Ernest H. Shepard. Octavo.

Shewing their Boundaries, Extent, Soil, Produce, Contents, Measure, Members of Parliament, and Number of Inhabitants; also the Cities, Boroughs, Billages, Mountains, Bogs, Lakes, Rivers and Natural Curiosities Together with the Great and Bye Post Roads. The whole taken from actual Surveys and Observations By Bernard Scale, Land Surveyor and beautifully engraved on 78 Copper Plates by Messrs. Ellis and Palmer'. Brown leather with marble paper to boards. Maps in colour. Rubbing and a little scuffing to boards and wear to leather at extremities, a little darkening to paper to boards towards spine, some tanning to end papers at corners and near gutter, a little foxing to interior, very faint offset to adjacent pages from maps.
