Just as light pervades the rooms and spaces we live in, so too it often suffuses the gentle rhythms of a poem, and Peter Davidson offers this poetic narrative on light and space, together with atmospheric watercolours by Hugh Buchanan (b. 1958). The text and watercolours interact with one another through the turning of the pages, and the poetry forms cycles of word and image in four-panel fold-outs; Buchanan's watercolours are masterfully rendered, the empty spaces seemingly just abandoned, with the light filling every crevice.
