Some creases to free endpapers else a bright, fine copy in near fine dustjacket with mild wear and toning to edges. Lacks the acetate dustjacket with the limited edition statement. Dustjacket illustration by Elmer Hader. Goldstone and Payne A38a. A nice copy. ; Octavo.

Synopsis

The Winter of Our Discontent published in 1961, is John Steinbeck's last novel. The title is a reference to the line "Now is the winter of our discontent made glorious summer by this son [or sun] of York," from William Shakespeare's Richard III.
