Sabin 95597. Binder's ticket on rear pastedown. Mortimer M. Thomson was a 19th century writer who used his Philander Q. K. Doesticks, P. B. (P. B. Stands for "Perfect Brick") pseudonym to pen various newspaper articles and books, including these sketches which blend satire and investigative journalism as they lampoon a cross-section of New York City's witches, veiled ladies, astrologists, psychics, gypsies, clairvoyants, and fortune-tellers. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
