To my friend Joe Inman, Jr. With my compliments & kindest personal regards. Val Hardacre." Hardcover with a red and white dust jacket. The jacket is worn and has several chips and edge tears and creases. The endpapers and the outside edges of the text block are foxed. The text itself is generally clean. Contains several illustrations. Val Hardacre was a born and reared and lived most of his life in Ohio. Contains a few photos and a couple of general maps of the U.S. with areas of American Ginseng and of Golden Seal habitats shaded. Stated First Edition on the copyright page.
