Outside the title page is an additional cover sheet soliciting donations to alleviate the famine in Ireland's western seaboard; the Irish Workers and Peasants Famine Relief Committee based in Chicago is described as "the only organization in America which is active in the aid of the starving Ireland." Includes contributions by Browder, Robert Minor, two poems by Langston Hughes (Poem to a dead soldier; Park benching), Manuel Gomez, William Z. Foster, Alexander Bittelman, William F. Dunne ("Negroes in American industries"), centerfold art by Fred Ellis, and much more.
