Workers at War: Seven Prints by Raymond Bancroft

by BANCROFT, Raymond (William Frazier, text)

Condition: See description

N.p.: Industrial Union of Marine and Shipbuilding Workers of America, C.I.O., 1944. First Edition. Paperback. Scarce album of lithographs, published by the Shipbuilders Union to celebrate the union's contributions to the shipbuilding industry during the Second World War. A very nicely produced album, with seven fine prints by an artist about whom we have succeeded in learning absolutely nothing other than that his career appears to have spanned the middle decades of the Twentieth Century and that he appears to have specialized in maritime subjects. This work uncommon. Quarto (11"). Pictorial card wrappers with silk cord binding; [28pp]; illus. Faint stains to upper front wrapper; scattered soiling; internally clean and unmarked, with all the original lithographic plates present. A Very Good copy.
