London: Hawarden Press, 1899. Limited Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+. Eighteen-volume Limited Edition set of which this is number 157 of 500. Three quarter leather with marbled boards, gold lettering and decoration on leather spines. Bindings are tight and square, no cracking; clean marbled endpapers, beautiful old custom bookplate on paste downs. Pages and edges are clean, with gilt upper page edges. Some very light rubbing to corners and some wear to bottom board edges. Frontispiece illustration in each book with printed tissue guard, plus lovely illustrations throughout. Middlemarch (3 volumes); Scenes of Clerical Life (2 volumes); Daniel Deronda (3 volumes); Silas Marner, The Lifted Veil, Brother Jacob (1 volume); Poems (1 volume); Felix Holt, The Radical (2 volumes); Romola + Romola and Miscellaneous Essays (2 volumes); Adam Bede (2 volumes); Life and Letters (2 volumes).
