About This Item

London: Thornton Butterworth 1929, 1st edition, first state. (Hardcover) Very good plus in very good dust jacket. 474pp. Blue cloth stamped in blind and with gilt titles on the spine. The first state printing without the errata slip, 4 folding maps, appendix, index. A bright copy with some bubbling to the cloth on the spine near the hinges, also a small (4cm X 6cm) faint offset stain on the title and facing pages at the gutter and projecting into the publisher's device. The dust jacket has minor edgewear and tears with very minimal loss at the corners, is a bit darkened on the spine and a bit rubbed and soiled on the flap folds. Rare in the jacket.
