London: J Stratford, 1808. 26cm, approx 360 pages; a curious nonce volume clearly made up in the early 19th century by a binder who used entire chapters of the two-volume original Cavendish volumes. There are eleven various chapters including 39 original plates, no maps. Obviously incomplete, but well bound in order to appear as a single volume of this rare work ("put together from two books into one volume.") Marbled boards, spine strip detached but present.. hardcover. Fair.
