Synopsis

From Hitler's rise to power to the Japanese surrender on the deck of the Missouri in 1945, World War II is brought into sharp focus in this dramatic book. Over a third of World War II consists of eyewitness accounts, as Sulzberger emphasizes the people involved in this historic event--the leaders, the victims, and the fighters.

About George Ellison

I love books and I've collected them for over 55 years. My tastes are eclectic, i.e. history, politics, magic, comics, Bernard Shaw, theatre, Christianity, etc. Though I sell some rare books most of my books are very affordable to the reading public. For all book orders, I wrap them well with bubble wrap and I generally ship within a day or two of the order. I drive an extra hour a day in order to take the books to a USPS distribution facility instead of to a local post office. This usually saves around 4 days in shipping so that the books don't languish in a local post office and instead only move through USPS distribution facilities and then to the final post office for delivery.
