Juvenile/YA sci-fi novel featuring a wonderful female protagonist. Winner of the 1963 Newbery Award for outstanding children's literature, basis for the 2018 film (which did not do it justice!).This is the 27th printing from 1970 of the FIRST EDITION (1962), with solid teal blue paper over boards & yellow lettering to spine. Condition is only Good, downgraded primarily due to rubbing to extremities, heavy at corners, which show fraying & tearing. Former owner's name & dome discoloration to ffep; NO writing/underlining/highlighting; NOT ex-lib. Foxed spots to all external page edges, but internal pages are off-white & clean. The unclipped DJ is downgraded to only Fair due to some large chips at both ends of spine, other creasing, rubbing & short tears. Newberry seal on front shows some wear around edges. A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle, first published in 1962. The book won a Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. It is the first in L'Engle's series of books about the Murry and O'Keefe families.

Great read for a kid, adult, or anyone who hasn't lost their sense of mystery and adventure. What if? What if time travel were as easy as L'Engle proposes? I still look for Mrs. Whatsit to point me in the right direction.
