XXXII, 224 pages, the last two pages blank, foreword by Penny McCarthy and Tessa Spella, institutional abbreviations, glossary of medical terms, notes and bibliography. Maroon coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs and reproductions of documents and the occasional black-and-white illustrations. Blue coloured boards with red and white titles to the front panel and backstrip. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and to the top edge of the front panel. Rubbing to the book corners. Some staining to the lower edge of the text block edge. There is a triangular crease to the top right-hand corner of the free front end paper. Photographic dustwrapper, showing to haemophiliac boys one from the 1950s and one from the 1990s against a blue coloured background with red and white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and creasing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. There has been fading, as if an application of a light acid solution had been applied, to the lower edge of the front dustwrapper panel and to the top half of the rear dustwrapper panel. A history of haemophilia and its effects on its sufferers and their families in Australia in the 20th century. This is the first Australian edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
