Cambridge: Harvard University Press, 1940. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Poor. Presumed first edition, 1940, hardcover with maroon cloth boards in dust jacket, octavo, 216pp., not illustrated. Book near fine with mild wear to corners and spine ends, tiny bit of DJ stuck to rear board near foredge, binding tight, text clean and unmarked with mild toning throughout. DJ poor with chipping to spine, rear flyleaf nearly removed but holding on at bottom of hinge, front flap price-clipped, tape to spine ends on verso side of wrap, now in archival mylar wrap.
