Gould and Lincoln, Boston, 1857, (1856) First edition, First Printing with the A8 on the bottom of the first text page and 1857 on the title page. 179 pages + 12 pages of advertising. NOTE: This an unworn clean example in about Fine condition. Nearly no markings of foreign (pencil/pen, dog-ears, etc...) or natural (foxing, paper age browning, etc...) nature. Aside from 2 tiny spots of less than 1/8", right edge of preface & contents pages and a light bit of type transfer to the front and rear blanks, it remains in as-printed condition. The binding is tight as if unread, spine ends, cover edges & corners are sharp and clean. Red pege edges are clean and bright, though ever so lightly faded on the foredge. A collectors example of the highest quality. Quite uncommon, especially in this condition.. Archival Bagged for Posterity.
