London: Compton Press, 1978. Hard Cover. Signed by Author. Number 29 of a Special Signed Limited Edition of 50 copies printed on Zerkall mould-made paper during the autumn of 1978; each copy accompanied by a full set of signed and numbered artists proofs of the engravings. Original quarter brown buckram, marbled paper boards, housed with the box of proofs in the original marbled paper cover slip-case. Twelve engravings accompanying Murdochs poems, full set of 12 signed and numbered proofs of the engravings by Reynolds Stone mounted and housed in a separate box. The book is designed by Humphrey Stone, the son of Reynold. Signed by Iris Murdoch (who provided the poems) and Reynolds Stone (the engraver). Additionally inscribed by Iris Murdoch: "For Brian and Chantal/ with best wishes/ Iris Murdoch".
