Brown cloth, gilt titles on spine, drawing of a deer stamped in black on front board, top edge dyed burnt orange, xii, 319, [2] pp, 9 pen & ink drawings included in pagination. This edition is printed on paper that is heavier, more opaque, whiter, and smoother-surfaced than the more common book club edition. Damp stain about 1 cm wide at tail of spine, internally clean & tight. DJ has slight edge wear, brown stain at tail of spine matching that on book; in Brodart archival cover. Sequel to A Place in the Woods, an engaging book of life in Minnesota's north woods (just across the lake from Canada). While the first book covers the very eventful first year and a half after the Hoovers moved from Chicago to their remote cottage, this book covers the highlights of the next sixteen years. Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. International shipping rates are complex (cost depends upon weight and destination), so please feel free to email us for a quote before you order.
