Brentanos, 1920. First American ed. Near fine condition, very slight over all wear, spine is slightly darkened except for two small spots near the base, which are lighter than the rest of the binding. The corner tips are slightly bumped. 128 pp. Tan cloth with grey lettering and small decorative design in red on spine and front cover. 24 full page plates on coated stock, 12 in color and 12 are pen and ink drawings with ivory colored background which also provides a slim border area. Lacks several of the tissue guards for the illustrations. Additional line drawings on half title page, title page, head pieces to introduction, acknowledgment, contents and list of illustrations pages. There are also a number of black and white tail pieces and a full page black and white illustration on page 18. Clarke's black and white illustrations are striking and the color illustrations are fanciful.. 1st Ed. Hard Cover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Illus. by Harry Clarke.
