Kamloops, B. C.: Pictorial Advertising.. No date. Ca. 1970.. Color pictographic / pictorial map, 16½ x 22 inches, folding as issued to 4 1/4 x 11 inches, color pictorial maps on verso. Several smudges, chiefly in margins; overall good condition. Circa 1970 colorful pictorial map depicting the route from Prince George, Canada, to Prince Rupert as well as a spur from the main route leading to Kitimat. Scenery, wild life, native peoples and recreational activities are pictured on the map, which features three small inset maps: Vanderhoof, Burns Lake, and Smithers. On verso are three additional pictorial maps: Terrace BC, Prince Rupert BC, and Prince George BC. Text on the map states "Prince George, the industrial hub of central B.C. is the starting off point for some of the provinces finest holiday country" while Prince Rupert is termed "the fishing centre of the Pacific Northwest." A most interesting vintage item depicting "the Gateway to Alaska." .
