"Moredecai Soltes (1893-1957) was a Jewish author and educator. He wrote the The Yiddish Press: An Americanizing Agency, and served as chairman of National Committee for the Jewish Book Week. Soltes was also on the executive staff of the National Jewish Welfare Board, and served as Director of Education from 1925-1944.
