About This Item

New York: Macmillan Publishing Co., Inc, 1974 WYSIWYG pricing--no added shipping charge for standard shipping within USA. Dark blue (nearly black) cloth, yellow titles on spine, viii, 397 pp, index. Faded about the edges. DJ spine sunned but legible, paper browning, slight edge wear; in Brodart archival cover. Browne was on a roll when he wrote this book, having correctly predicted the devaluation of the dollar in a book published in 1970. Many of his predictions turned out to be correct, although his pessimism exceeded even the rather dire economic events that unfolded in the mid to late 1970s. Shipping weight 3 lbs. (International 2 lbs., 8 oz.). First Edition. . VG/VG. 24 X 16½ cm.

Terms of Sale

Twin City Antiquarian Books

Books are offered subject to prior sale. You may return any book within 14 days for a refund; if it was not as described, we will also refund return shipping costs (but please e-mail us first). You can place credit card orders through Biblio, or we will ship upon receipt of payment by check or money order. Sales tax is collected by Biblio and remitted directly to your state, where applicable. SHIPPING IN UNITED STATES: Books are priced postpaid, so there are no additional shipping charges for standard shipping. We will ship via Priority Mail for $12.00 per order (Save on multiple-book orders!). This may be reduced if actual postage is less than for a medium flat-rate box. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: In most cases, shipping via Biblio's consolidated shipping program via Asendia is the cheapest option on orders up to 5 lbs. International shipping rates are complex (cost depends upon weight and destination), so please feel free to email us for a quote before you order. If the actual cost of shipping is more than the automatically quoted rate, you must approve the additional charges before the order will be shipped. Shipping charges will be reduced if shipping weight is under 3 lbs. All shipping charges (except via Asendia) include 17% to cover Biblio fees and commissions that apply to these charges. LIBRARIES: We offer flexible terms to public and university libraries.
