New York: Duell, Sloan, & Pearce, 1940. Second edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Oversized hardcover in grey cloth stamped in red. 190 pp. Illustrated with full page photographs by Maraget Bourke-White. The second edition (first issued by Viking in 1937). A tight example, modest toning along the edge of the boards and a bit of light spotting. No jacket. Iconic work on the Depresion-era rural American South with text by Caldwell and illustrated with Bourke-White's classic black and white photography.
