The book has been re-backed using original printed brown boards and with parts of original spine cover pasted onto replacement spine, cover edges are scuffed and bumped. Sound binding, darkened end-papers, previous owner's name in blue on title-page, clean slightly darkened uncut (untrimmed) pages. Illustrated with many wood engravings. No dust jacket, as published.
