"Eden's 'State of the Poor' has for many years been kown as a classical work in the condition of the labouring classes in England down to the end of the eighteenth century." Red cloth with gilt titling to spine, 383 pages. Some shelf wear especially to corners, top free corners show minor bump, a faint discoloration to front board, some foxing to textblock edge and to a few pages, previous owner's name to ffep. Dust jacket shows sunning to spine and edges, spine has a three inch closed tear, spine ends and corners are chipped. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
