The cloth is heavily worn and frayed at the head and heel of the spine and worn through at the lower edge of the front and rear boards. There is a prior owner's name on the front paste down. Without its issued dust jacket. This is Eric Sloane's first book which is quite scarce. 74 pages of text and illustrations followed by two un-numbered pages.

Title page is vibrant in blue. Small chip on opposite title page edge. Profusely illustrated with line drawings in that classic, kind of primitive Eric Sloane style. Hinges and binding firm. Nice copy of a collectible mid-20th century title.
