Salerno, Italy: Ente Provinciale Per Il Turismo, 1954. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. First edition, first issue with "1954" date verso of the front free endpaper facing the title page. Cream colored stiff wrappers, lettered in black and brown and with small three color illustration on front cover. 30 pp. Near fine, very minor spots to the front cover and a tiny crease lower front corner, overall very presentable. Offprint of an article that originally appeared in "Harper's Bazaar" in which Steinbeck relates the story of his visit (at the suggestion of Alberto Moravia) to the small Amalfi Coast town of Positano.
