Raphael Isaacs was the author or co-author of many publications and several books. He was the co-discoverer of Ventriculin, a treatment for pernicious anemia. Also tucked into this volume and paperclipped with a note are a November 1938 reprint from the Journal of Medical Science and a 1939 reprint from the Journal of Laboratory and Clinical Medicine. The note refers to the author's paternal and maternal relatives. This signed volume was a gift from Dr. Isaacs to his brother, law professor Nathan Isaacs, a conservative legal realist.
