Boston: Lothrop, Lee & Shepard, 1894. First edition. Hardcover. fine. A fine, tight, fresh example. First edition. Large ocatvo in light brown cloth ornately lettered in black. vii +380 pp. with index to nomenclatureFrontispiece photographic portrait of the Baron Posse and with 267 illustrations and a folding analytic chart in pocket at rear. Cornerstone work on the Swedish system of gymnastics, intoduced by Posse and Hartvig Nissen to America in the 1880s.
