Would be fine in fine dust jacket except for some moisture damage to the outside of the boards that has caused dye to bleed onto the inside of the dust jacket; not visible with the dust jacket in place. The late Rev. Hesburgh was president of University of Notre Dame for 35 years; he was the namesake for TIAA–CREF's Hesburgh Award, the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Award for Greatest Public Service Benefiting the Disadvantaged, the Sylvanus Thayer Award, the F. Sadlier Dinger Award, the Public Welfare Medal, the Four Freedom Award, and the NCAA Gerald R. Ford Award, and holds the Guinness Book of World Records title for "Most Honorary Degrees". He was the author of 'Travels with Ted and Ned' and 'The Challenge and Promise of a Catholic University: Theology'. Rare signed.
