Tears, soiling, and fading to cover, which has also almost completely separated from the book; stamped and written owner identifications and notes. This book bound in suede leather is over 130 years old! It has gilt0-edged pages, decorated endpapers, and a frontispiece. It is dedicated to Alfred Tennyson and includes a one-page preface by the author who also selected which of his poems were to be included. A classic collection from a classic poet, and despite the flaws an amazing piece.

Yellowed scotch tape where protector was fastened inside cover. Front cover, top right corner, leather worn away, slightly exposing board. Three dog-eared pages (lower right), three pages with ½" or less tear, eight pages had been slightly creased at one time in the lower right (max. ½" x 3"), remainder Fine. Truly, a very beautiful book!. Leather. Very Good +. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
