About This Item

Paris: Editions Pocket. Very Good. 1997. Reprint; First Printing. Paperback. Mass Market PB . Minor shelf wear, old price sticker to rear cover. ; Pocket 11706. Nice tight copy, no names or marks inside. Appears unread. Translated from the original English by Patrick Berthon. ; 352 pages; French language version of The Brethren. Trumble was a minimum security federal prison with the usual mix of relitively harmless inmates, swindlers, tax evaders, two Wall Street crooks, a doctor, at least five lawyers - and three former judges. The judges called themselves The Brethren and met each day in the law library, handling cases for other inmates, dispensing jail house justice when necessary - and writing letters. Lots of letters. For they'd worked out a mail scam and the money was starting to pour in. Unfortunately they were about to ensnare someone in their little scam who was too powerful and too well connected. .
