Sir Kyffin Williams (1918-2006) was a Welsh painter best known for his depictions of the Welsh countryside, shepherds and their sheepdogs, livestock, and small villages. Williams paintings were primarily made with impasto palette knife marks and few brushstrokes, employing a limited palette consisting of gray and subtle greens that emanate the color found in the rocks and foliage of Wales.
