Clean pages and illustrations with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Bookseller sticker stuck to back pastedown. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Lettering is bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean. Minor wear marks to boards. Unclipped jacket. Panels and spine have moderate edgewear with chips, tears and creases. Moderate loss to spine and edges. Moderate tanning and wear marks to flaps, panels and spine.

Dust jacket has a chip to foot of spine, some wear to top of spine, a 2" tear to front bottom fold with a small chip at bottom of tear as well as a fold along tear. Some colour fading to spine. Looks good in plastic protective cover. Green cloth on boards binding has bright lettering. Former owner's name faintly on front free endpaper. Pencil portrait of author on frontis. A flaw at the bottom of page 28 and page 29 which sees a bit of one page stuck to the other. Text is affected but is easily figured. . Stated first edition. HC and DJ. Good/Fair.
