Some page corners creased.. vi, 923-940 p. This was one of several fact-finding hearings on the economic base for German aggression. This documents that the War Department provided to the Committee four letters bearing the dates March 19, 23, and 30 and Alril 6, 1945. The letters are printed in translation and were from Emil Puhl former vice president of the Reichsbank to Walther Funk former Minister of Economics for the Reich. These letters describe the manner in which the Germans, when defeat was imminent, were able to use neutral countries to build up a network of economic and political reserves for future aggression.
