Condition of the book is Very Good Minus. The binding is straight and sound. Inside pages are complete and unmarked. The main condition issue is a bit of cloth loss at the bottom edge of the book's spine.
Condition of the dust jacket is Very Good Minus. The DJ is complete, not price clipped. It shows moderate wear to the edges and folds. The DJ is protected in a new mylar cover.

Thick octavo, "with 123 illustrations and 8 colored plates". Published under the auspeices of the New York Zoological Society.

Text is Nearly Fine with firm binding, fresh unworn cloth, no significant flaws, owner's inscription on half-title page dated 1935. Dust jacket is not price-clipped, few short tears, modest edge-wear, some loss to tips, some chipping to spine-ends, up to .25". A very attractive copy. Scarce in dust jacket.
