Birmingham: Printed by and for Swinney & Walker, 1792. Sixth edition (first published in 1758). 12mo. xi, 118, (2, ad leaf) pp. Engraved frontispiece affixed to verso of front wrapper. Small trade label affixed to base of frontispiece: "John Higginbotham / Fishing-Rod Maker / (From Drury Lane) / At the Golden Fish, No. 1 opposite / Southampton Street, Strand." Westwood and Satchell, pp. 39-40: "[The author] was considered the most finished fly-fisher of his day." Heckscher 255. Owner's ink note at base of title page "W.B. 1798," but a good solid copy. Old limp vellum (quite rubbed), manuscript title and owner's initials on spine "Angling 1798 W.B.". (8709).
