Robert Clarke & Co. Used - Very Good. 1873. Hardcover. 8vo. Green cloth. 403 numbered pp. Toning to spine; chipping and fraying at ends. Some scuffing and rubbing to boards. Significant foxing to first and last few leaves, frontis.; rest of text is clean. Small tear in the middle of pp. v. Rear hinge cracking, but binding remains sound. Else fine. A very nice copy overall. Howes B-1062. Very Good. (Subject: Americana & Regional History).

Thomson 146: "Drawn largely from original manuscripts ... this history has a general value as a study of pioneer life and warfare, and the sketches of adventure in which it abounds, add greatly to the interest of the main narrative." Title page a little loose with outer edge somewhat frayed, else a good solid copy. Original green cloth (spine ends a little frayed, corners bumped), gilt spine title. (5681).
