This Canadian Native American wrestlers, known as "Marvelous Mohawk," was one of the greatest box office attractions of the early days of televised wrestling; he won the best-of-three-falls AWA World title in 1950, but had it taken away three days later in a controversial incident during a match with Gorgeous George; he died at age 41 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, an apparent suicide.
