Description:
This Canadian Native American wrestlers, known as "Marvelous Mohawk," was one of the greatest box office attractions of the early days of televised wrestling; he won the best-of-three-falls AWA World title in 1950, but had it taken away three days later in a controversial incident during a match with Gorgeous George; he died at age 41 of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, an apparent suicide. IPS (magazine stock), 7" X 10", n.p., n.y. [ca. 1960]. Very good. Tape stains along some edges, but not affecting image or signature. Full-length publicity portrait of Eagle in Indian costume and full headdress, wielding a tomahawk.
