Garden City: Doubleday, 1977. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by actor Joseph Turkel who played the spooky and haunting bartender in director Stanley Kubrick’s film version of The Shining. Turkel has written a long full page inscription: “Stanley Kubrick was a man who did not believe in Religion. SEX, Right”” In ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ the orgy scene was led - - - if you paid attention - - - by the three major religions. In your face religion. Stanley got his revenge at Religious hypocrisy. Joseph Turkel.” Turkel has had a long distinguished career in film most notably working with film director Stanley Kubrick in The Killing, Paths of… Read More
