Upon seeing Dachau for the first time, Timothy Ryback set out to investigate the way the older generation dealt with a past they knew first hand, and how the younger generations lived life under Dachau's shadow. He found Martin Zaidenstadt, who claimed to be a Holocaust survivor and came to the camp every day for the last 53 years. However, Zaidenstadt may not be either a survivor or indeed a Jew. A fascinating story if quite pathetic.
