1967. Near fine. Paul McCartney's handwritten, working manuscript (as Beatle) for "Lovely Rita," from the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. the most famous album in the entire panorama of modern music. This is the very first (rough) draft, 10 lines (in ink), all in Paul's handwriting and all written on a single side of an irregular scrap of lined paper (7 1/2" X 5") torn from a spiral notebook. 7 lines in black are Paul's first concept. 3 lines of changes have been added later in blue, such as, "writing all the numbers in her little black book" changed to "filling in a ticket with her little blue pen" and still later recorded as "filling in a ticket in her little white book." The collection was assembled by Hank O'Neal - photographer, author, record producer, and Executive Vice-President of Hammond Music Enterprises - and includes autograph letters, notes and postcards from Ginsberg to O'Neal, drafts and proofs of the linear notes ("The Ginsberg Gallimaufry"), lyric and chord sheets, fourteen cassette tapes of early mixes and unreleased tracks, and an extensive file of press clippings assembled and annotated by Ginsberg. Unbound. Very Good. Large mural on plywood. Approximately 72" x 36". Luminous or florescent paint, probably acrylic-based (similar to DayGlo paint) in many colors on large 1/2" Weyerhaeuser plywood. Signed in the lower right quadrant: "Chet Williams, 12-11-78." Corners a little rounded, some rubbing to a few sections, grain of the plywood shows through a bit, overall very good. A spectacularly colorful and accomplished representation of the band, staged in front of the giant Mothership, and with a cerise ray gun blast bisecting the painting horizontally. Parliament and The Funkadelics were two separate bands that played concurrently, both under the direction of George Clinton, and both with roughly the same complement of musicians. By the late 1970s, the term Parliament-Funkadelic became the catchall phrase for the creative and increasingly uncatagorizable music project. San Francisco, 1966. First edition. Very Good. One-of-a-Kind Beatles Images Portend the End of an Era. This original contact sheet of rare 1966 images of The Beatles was discovered by artist, photographer, musician, and Beatles enthusiast Dave Seabury at a garage sale near San Francisco in the late 1980s. These photos, which we have on offer, were taken at the Fab Four's final concert at Candlestick Park on August 29, 1966. The story of how these images were discovered is almost as fascinating as the images themselves. Seabury frequented garage sales for years inquiring about Grateful Dead or Beatles photos and never had any luck. On one fateful day the seller said, "Yeah, there are some Beatles pictures in that box over there." (Marks) In the box Seabury found a contact sheet with 73 black-and-white images of The Beatles taken by someone who clearly had privileged access to the band. Ephemera. Very Good. *****A DEEP, VARIED COLLECTION FROM THE GOLDEN AGE OF SAN FRANCISCO ROCK, 1966-1971*****. Focused mostly on Chet Helms (and the Avalon Ballroom) and Bill Graham (and his Fillmore West). Includes over 90 handbills and flyers AND almost 50 posters from the period. The collection was accidentally built -- with no forethought behind it. It resulted simply from one young, active music lover who hit the clubs and liked pulling handbills, flyers and announcements off telephone poles and bulletin boards. The condition, which runs the gamut from Near Fine to truly rough, reflects the natural, unself-conscious way in which this young guy gathered up so much material. An unusually large, high-quality collection. Clearly, needs to be seen.

Though undated, the card is almost certainly from Winehouse's infamous 25th birthday party, where the singer failed to ever show up. Held on September 14th, 2008 at one of the Winehouse's favorite clubs, Jazz After Dark in Soho, both Ronson (who produced more than half the tracks for BACK TO BLACK) and Adele were in attendance - as were both of Winehouse's parents and a host of friends. Despite (reportedly) several taxis and pleas from friends, the singer refused to leave her house, and the party broke up around 2am without the singer having ever appeared - a fact seized upon by the tabloids the following day. The feature song by Harry Warren and Sammy Cahn, a spoof on rock and roll music, was sung by Jerry Lewis and includes a drum solo performed by Lewis. Some reports maintain that Lewis conducted the orchestra.
