In later issues the shorts became blue. On the rear flap the dustwrapper also has five paragraphs, the last of which mentions that the author is at work on The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. Quarto. Unpaginated. Story and pictures, mostly in colour, by Seuss, this being his first book.Small nick to fore-edge of one leaf. Endpapers faintly tanned. Covers slightly rubbed at the edges. Very good indeed in very good, slightly chipped and marked, price-clipped dustwrapper with several nicks. Scarce.
