Johnston Press. Near Fine with No dust jacket as issued. 2007. Reprint. Paperback. 140676258X . Reprint of 1923 edition. (by the author) (About the subject of this book ) George Berkeley was born in or near Kilkenny, Ireland on 12 March 1685. He was raised in Dysart Castle. Although his father was English, Berkeley always considered himself Irish. In 1696, he entered Kilkenny College. He entered Trinity… Read More

Baltimore, MD: John Murphy & Co.. Fair with no dust jacket. 1859. First Thus. Hardcover. Books spine has severe damage, hinges cracking, contents clean. We provide delivery tracking on US orders. " John Milner (1752–1826) was an English Roman Catholic bishop and controversialist who served as the Vicar Apostolic of the Midland District from 1803 to 1826. His language was as harsh as ever, and unbecoming in a bishop, until at length an appeal was made to Rome, and Cardinal Fontana, who was then Prefect of Propaganda, forbade him to write in it anymore. In 1818 his End of Controversy, perhaps the best known of all his books, at length appeared, and it was followed by a war of pamphlets and… Read More
